National Wireless Safety Week kicks off Monday.
It’s hosted by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association or CTIA.
The week focuses on the how wireless technology helps ensure public and personal safety.
And there’s many different ways you can use your wireless service to stay safe.
They include the Get Wise About Wireless initiative, which provides tools for parents and teachers to help students defeat digital bullies.
Wireless Amber Alerts is a free public service that helps law enforcement find children who were abducted,
And Text 2 Help works with American Red Cross.
Customers can send donations for relief efforts during a disaster through the service.
Verizon Wireless wants to remind cell phone users that safety should be the top priority when behind the wheel of a moving vehicle.
