Police believe they've caught the man responsible for 18 armed robberies in Greenville. They accuse the same suspect for armed robberies in Tarboro, Winterville, and Farmville.

"Mr. White has been on a long running crime spree and we are happy to report he is now off our streets,” Sgt. Ken Laws with the Greenville Police Department says.

Greenville Police believe they have arrested the man responsible for several armed robberies in the area, including the KFC, Taco Bell, and Hardees. His name is Rashad White.

“I tell you, we never give up on a case. We’re still always investing,” Sgt. Laws says.

Police say his crime spree started in June 2007 all the way to November, plus one crime in 2004. They've had their eye on this suspect for 6 months now, but it wasn't until February 27th that they caught him.

“We got a call about an armed robbery at Burger King,” Tarboro Chief of Police, Robert Cherry says.

Through witnesses descriptions police caught white at a traffic stop in pine tops. Then, Tarboro called Greenville PD because they knew about the rash of armed robberies they were having.

“I think it speaks a lot of everyone working together, especially to get people behind bars,” Chief of Police, Cherry said.

White is at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $150,000 dollar bond. Investigators say he could be linked to several more robberies, not just in Greenville, but in other areas. So far, White will face charges in Edgecombe County.
