Greenville Police tell Nine On Your Side that they’ve arrested the father of a baby they say was shaken to death.
Ronnie Earl Foggs was taken into custody this afternoon by Greenville Police thanks to a tip from Crime Stoppers and the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.
You may remember that Foggs’ baby was removed from life support back on November 15th. An investigation revealed a broken leg and rib before an autopsy concluded the baby’s cause of death to be “Shaken Baby Syndrome”.
Fogg’s is now in the Pitt County Detention Center.

A father is wanted for arrest in the murder of his own child.
Police are looking for Ronnie Earl Foggs.
The warrant for his arrest stems back from a report of a unresponsive baby at Pitt Memorial Hospital on November 6th. An investigation was launched while the baby was placed on life support.
The baby was removed from life support on November 15th.
A social worker notified detectives that same day that the baby had other injuries that occurred prior to this incident including a broken leg and rib.
The preliminary report following an autopsy concluded the cause of death as “Shaken Baby Syndrome”.
