An accused rapist who’s been on the run for more than seven months has been caught.

On Sunday, Nov. 8, officers in Huntsville, AL arrested Kenneth Manning for driving under the influence.  He’s wanted in Beaufort County on a long list of charges, including first degree statutory rape, crimes against nature, first degree statutory sex offense, felony disseminate obscenity to a minor, indecent liberties with a child, and kidnapping.

Beaufort County deputies obtained warrants charging Manning with those charges on March 24, after being alerted by the Beaufort County Department of Social Services and after conducting an investigation. When they went to arrest Manning, deputies discovered he had fled the state.

Fifty-six-year-old Manning will be extradited back to the East. He’s being held on no bond in Alabama.
