Kinston police are chasing several leads connected to an early Sunday morning shooting outside a restaurant that injured two men.

Police say it happened around 3:19 AM across from the One Stop Restaurant on East Shine Street.

That’s where they found Franklin Travill suffering from a gunshot wound to the jaw.  Franklin was travelling west on Shine Street when he was struck.  His vehicle was struck four times.

They found the second victim, Tracy Grady, a few blocks away in a car on Queen Street with an gunshot wound to the chest.

Authorities believe the shots came from behind a boarding house located on the north side of the 100 block of East Shine Street.

Both men were taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital and are listed in stable condition.

If you have any information about these incidents, they are asked to call Det. Sgt. Craig Jarman at 252-939-3184 or Lenoir County Crime Stoppers at 252-523-4444.
