Man accused of shooting police officer pleads guilty in federal court
A man accused of shooting a police officer will spend some time behind bars.
Jerome Wright pled guilty to firearm charges in federal court.
Back in June, 2008, a Goldsboro officer pulled Wright for a routine traffic stop.
It escalated into a gun battle. Wright hit the officer twice before the officer shot him.
Sentencing is scheduled for early next year. Wright could get up to 10 years in jail.
