New Bern Police tell Nine On Your Side that they’ve taken a man into custody for shooting a construction worker in Craven Terrace.

It happened back on July 15th.

Calvin Mark Wilson of Brooklyn, NY is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

Authorities say he shot Nassar Ture’ Mack while he was pouring sidewalks at the complex.  Mack was treated and released from the hospital after the shooting.

Detectives located Wilson, who was already in the Pamlico County jail, just last week.  He was being held under the name of Kelvin Johnson.  Authorities say he’s known under a number of different aliases.  He was returned to the Pamlico County jail under a $250,000 bond.

He’s also wanted for questioning by NYPD about a homicide there.

NBPD has worked in conjunction with NYPD over the past two years to identify and arrest individuals who regularly travel between Brooklyn, Pamlico County and New Bern, and are responsible for violent crimes in all three jurisdictions.

This collaboration also led to the arrest of Curtis Trevore Bell for a November 2007 murder in Craven Terrace and his brother Brandon Jamar Bell for a May 2009 shooting.
