A month later, girl still can't stop sneezing
Tonight we have an update on a story we told you about earlier this month.
Remember this?
12 year old Lauren Johnson started sneezing non-stop after she caught a cold last month.
And it hasn’t stopped.
She sneezes thousands of times a day.
The Johnson family has been flying to doctors all over the country to find out what’s causing Lauren to sneeze up to 16 times a minute.
A specialist at Yale ruled out Tourette Syndrome.
Over the holiday the Johnsons flew to New York to see a doctor who specializes in auto-immune disorders.
“What everybody is pointing to is they think it’s a physical orgin. It’s not psychogenic. It’s not in her head. Obviously we’ve ruled that out. She’s not faking it.“ says Lynn Johnson, the girl’s mother.
And she’s not alone either.
Lauren’s mother says she’s talked to dozens of parents whose kids have similar symptoms.
The Johnsons say they’ll keep traveling to see doctors until the sneezing stops.
