A civilian psychiatrist said he was fired from his job at Camp Lejeune after complaining about the PTSD treatment offered to marines.

Dr. Kernan Manion said for nearly two years the marines had to undergo treatment for post traumatic stress disorder in temporary trailers where they could hear bomb blasts, gun fire and war cries during training.

Those servicemen and women told the Associated Press they had trouble focusing on their treatment. The military says it is looking into the complaints. Officials say you can hear cannons and gun fire practically anywhere on base.
