DH Conley on “modified lockdown” for random drug sweep
» 2 Comments | Post a Comment

The doors to DH Conley High School have been temporarily locked as sheriff’s deputies and drug sniffing dogs make a random sweep of the building.

A school spokesperson said the drug sweeps are board policy and are conducted periodically at county schools as a deterrent for drug use.

While conducting the sweeps, the school also practices their lock down procedures.

The school has sent out a text alert to parents and will be sending more information home.

You know for it to be a random thing it had my son really upset. He text both me and his dad about it when I texted back asking what was going on he said the teacher said it was not a scheduled lock down so he knew it had to be something bad and it was locked down for around 2 hours how long does it take them dogs to walk around the school and parking lot. Our kids do it in less then 5 minutes. To me it was a waste of a school day they stay locked down in one class for hours.
