MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina fisherman can cast
their lines on Independence Day without getting a license.
State law allows free fishing every July Fourth as a way to
promote the sport. Both saltwater and freshwater areas will be
accessible.
Annual saltwater fishing licenses are $15 for state residents
and $30 for non-state residents. License holders must be 16 or
older.
