Moderate fire, smoke damage in Kinston fire; no injuries reported

Kinston authorities tell Nine On Your Side that a structure fire last night resulted in moderate fire and smoke damage.

It happened on W. Lenoir Avenue.

That’s where a fire engulfed a two-story, wood frame residential home.

Fortunately, all the occupants made it out of the home safely and there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
