Pirates Treasure

Someone’s trash could be someone else’s treasure!  Today and tomorrow ECU students can drop off anything they no longer want at a Pirates Treasure drop off site.

Anything from clothes to canned goods to furniture is accepted. After the items are taken of the hands of students they are delivered to non-profit organizations. The city of Greenville is teaming up with ECU on this program in hopes of eliminating large items left at the curb.

Dr. Lynn Roeder says, “Students do give away some pretty good stuff and so we want to make sure it gets in the hands of people who need it.“

Ninety volunteers help with Pirates Treasure and they expect the program will really take off in the spring.
