Rocky Mount man steals money and car after getting a ride home

    Rocky Mount police say two people got robbed at gunpoint after giving someone a ride in their car.
    The incident happened around 3:00 Saturday morning on Planters Street.
    Dominique Bullock and Nakitta Whitaker told police that Demeion Parker held them up after they gave him a ride home.
    They say Parker got out of the car, went to the back of his house and came back with a shot gun.
    Police say Parker forced Bullock to hand over $25 and then stole Bullock’s car.
    Officers have not been able to find him.
    Parker faces armed robbery and larceny charges.
