The weak low pressure system we’ve been monitoring in the far southern Caribbean Sea officially became Tropical Depression 11. 

The system will likely stay over the Caribbean Sea – or perhaps briefly the Central American nations of Nicaragua and Honduras – for several days. 

If T. D. 11 becomes a tropical storm, it would be called “Ida”.
