Starting next year, 10 percent of student athletes at Greene Central High School will get random drug tested. The Board of Education voted on the policy during Monday night’s meeting. The Greene County Board of Education is funding the program, estimating that it will cost $3,000. If a student tests positive for drugs the first time, they’ll be suspended for the remainder of the season, enroll in a substance abuse program and pass another drug test before playing again.
