    DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - An economic summit on the role of North Carolina’s educational system in economic and workforce development has attracted about 150 officials and business representatives.
    University of North Carolina system President Erskine Bowles and Sen. Richard Burr are hosting the summit, which will be held Monday at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
    In addition to Burr and Bowles, other speakers include SAS founder and CEO Jim Goodnight and Scott Ralls, president of the North Carolina community college system.
