Tuition may soon go up at ECU but not as much as the General Assembly said it could.
On Thursday afternoon, the ECU Board of Trustees executive committee recommended a tuition increase of 3.6% for the 2010 academic year.
That means an undergraduate, who pays $2,491 now, will have to pay an additional $90 a year more.
Earlier this year, the General Assembly had said colleges could increase tuition by as much as 8%
ECU’s Board of Trustees will vote on the recommendation on Friday.
