It’s an important year for one area of science: astronomy.
400 years ago an Italian astronomer, Galileo Galilee, improved the telescope.
This weekend hundreds of middle schoolers honored the accomplishment.
Go-Science kicked off it’s International Year of Astronomy in style with the latest modern versions of the telescope for students to use.
Students viewed Saturn, the moon and a galaxy of stars from Greenville’s Bradford Creek Soccer Complex.
Astronomers say field experience is the best way to spark student interest.
On Tuesday, our special kid correspondent Josh Smith will joins us with a full report on the 100 International Hours of Observation at 6pm.
