State Receives Biggest Lottery Transfer Ever

In the face of budget cuts, public education is finally getting some good news. The state lottery made its largest transfer to the state ever.
   
The North Carolina Education Lottery transferred more than $114 million for its third quarter, which is January through March.
   
That means the lottery has made more than a billion dollars for the state since it began in March, 2006.
