Investigator Answers Lingering Questions Surrounding Lauterbach Case

Jacksonville, NC - Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Captain Rick Sutherland answered a number of lingering questions surrounding the Maria Lauterbach case for Nine On Your Side. In a Monday morning interview, Sutherland addressed questions surrounding the search for Cesar Laurean, what investigators found at his home and what Laurean bought at a local Lowe’s store just days after he’s accused of killing Lauterbach.

Sutherland also tackles some rumors circulating about the crime -- including whether the Laureans hosted a party days after Lauterbach was buried in the backyard and if Laurean did indeed tell his friends he’d head to Mexico if he was charged with raping Lauterbach.
