MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - “The nation which forgets its defenders will be itself forgotten,“ said Calvin Coolidge, 30th president of the United States.

In the spirit of remembering those who have gone before us, commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Col. Richard P. Flatau Jr. is scheduled to present a certificate of appreciation entitled “Hard-Core Warrior” to service members who fought in all three conflicts: World War II, The Korean War and Vietnam.

The award presentation is scheduled to take place in the commanding general’s conference room located in Bldg. 1 Tuesday (Nov. 18th) at 1 p.m. Friends and family members of the service members are invited to the ceremony.
