Many parts of the country are getting blasted with blizzards and winter weather.

Parts of the midwest have had several feet of snow, more than a foot in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Heavy ice and powerful winds pushed snow drifts 15 feet high across the middle of the country and the temperatures dipped below zero.

Hundreds of thousands of travelers have been left stranded at airports.  Hundreds of flights have been delayed or cancelled.

Forecasters say as much as 3 feet of snow could fall near the Great Lakes before the storm heads east.

The nasty weather is also making it’s way into the northeast.  People in Massachusetts spent the day digging out.

They’re hoping the rain thats been forecast won’t turn into snow and ice.

The burst of winter weather has made for very dangerous driving..

Today’s snowfall forced businesses and schools to shut down.

Forecasters say the storm could be out to sea by later this week
