Officials in Cuero, Texas want to know if a patrol record proves the legendary ‘Chupacabra’ exists.

Officials with the Dewitt County Sheriff’s Office said Monday they believe an image captured on a patrolling deputy’s dash cam is that of the   Mythological bloodsucking ‘Chupacabra’.

The sighting occurred Friday, hours before sunset. Aware of the unique circumstances, Cpl. Brandon Riedel hit the record button on his squad car’s   dash camera.

Video shows the animal from the rear, running away from the pursuing patrol unit.  At one point, the animal turns its head to the side offering a blurred   profile when the video is in pause.  Eventually the creature disappeared into   the brush.

The deputy describes the creature as hairless with a long snout, having short   front legs and long back legs and about the size of a coyote.

A Chupacabra is believed to be a mythical creature associated with Mexico whose name means “goat sucker” in Spanish. It supposedly kills livestock and drains their blood.

Tests ran on a similar creature found dead in Cuero last year revealed the   animal to be some sort of coyote.

As Cuero receives national attention and quickly becomes the Chupacabra capitol of the world, the lawmen are concerned that the video may start a rash of sightings in the county.

Although the sheriff believes that anything is possible, he’s willing to work   with credible researchers who want to look at the video and help solve the mystery.

Sorry mate, but that was just Max. My dog! Yes, sorry to disappoint you folks, but he isn’t a “chupacabra”, even though he looks like one. He had scaped last week, and thanks God he has been found. He’s a little bit weirdo, scares people, but nothing to worry about. I apologize for any inconvenient.
