This week we told you about the town of Indian Beach’s decision to retract a job offer to a new fire chief.

This came after we told you that the candidate had left his previous job in Ohio, after allegations of misconduct: allegations that were investigated, but not proven.

In Viewers Voice, we heard from some of you that you want us to keep following this story.

Tracey writes:

“While I firmly believe in innocent until proven guilty, my experience has been that there is always some truth to allegations.  I hope that the clearing of these charges is appropriate; however, I would keep my eyes and ears open at the new job, just to see what comes of it.“

Thanks Tracey, and we will continue to follow the story on Eyewitness News Nine.

This week we told you about the expansion of the notification program for North Carolinians seeking information about sex offenders.

RGB says: “As the parent of a 12-year-old girl, I feel the need to protect her from sexual predators; however, I do not believe the sex offender registry in its current state will help with that.  Too often, those who are “registered” are not predators, merely persons caught up in what has turned into a modern day witch hunt.  If my neighbor is a child molester, I would like to know… If he had sex with his 15- year- old girlfriend when he was nineteen, I don’t care.“

And, we recently changed our on air look here on Eyewitness News Nine, as some of you noticed.

“My name is Mark and I’m just calling to let you know how much I like your new graphics that I saw on air with your news anchors and all, and also, your weather graphics.  They’re much better than the old ones. Keep up the good work.“

This goes to WNCT:Alan Hoffman and Ms.thing Kibler.Okay,i guess you guys are going to be Homophobes too, and, just sweep it under the carpet like every other freakin’ RedNeck person in Greenville. But my issue will be heard sooner or later. If you want to ignore my viewers voice,do your thing.but remember theres more to life than your so-called “Sheltered-Normal Lives” in Greenville.whatever Normal is.A Gay man will protest, you can believe us San Fran’s know how!

What do i have to do,have all my friends come out from San Francisco and West Hollywood to protest in front of the evan street office??? Is my issue too deep for this small-minded community? Are you guys afraid to lose viewers? Greenville has lots of Bigots and Homophobes and it needs to be addressed.Regardless of where i’m living,i’m human and it needs to STOP!!! I’m Gay and Proud!!! and it needs to be Addressed.Being hurrased in Greenville for being Openly-Gay isn’t no excuse for any one to Hurrass!!!

Why haven’t i gotten any response from WNCT yet.In regards to the Homophobia in Greenville? I’d like my voice to be heard.this is a very important issue since i deal with stupidity and Homophobes every day.Why is it that Greenville is so Closeted and closed-minded? why is it that Greenville is so sheltered from the world? meaning other peoples lifestyles? Is greenville that far behind, and old fashion that they have to hurrass???

I’d like to express about the attitudes and hurrasement i get in Greenville,Pitt county area, for being openly-Gay.Not just Gay but Flamboyant.my mannerisms,my style of dressing,my Effeminateness.See,i’m originally from San Francisco,California where being Gay isn’t a issue there.Be as flamboyant as you want to.But here in Greenville,it’s full of closed-minded people,Homophobes and bigots.Even my own kind act funny towards me,telling me i need to tone it down because i’m in the Bible-belt.(Thats funny!)overall,i’m Gay and greenville is very difficult to live at.I deal with a lot of stupid people.even entering a restaurant or even the bank, you can feel the vibes and attitudes from the community.the so-called “Hetero” community.People in this small-town aren’t friendly at all.point blank!
