Obama poll numbers rising for first time since inauguration

Even with support for the war in Afghanistan declining, most Americans feel President Obama is handling the war well.

Mister Obama’s approval ratings are on the rise, for the first time since his inauguration.
   
In a new Associated Press poll, 56% of people surveyed approve of the president’s job performance.
   
That’s up from 50% in September.
