NEW YORK (AP) - Microsoft Corp. says owners of T-Mobile Sidekick phones who lost their contacts and other data in a server meltdown can now at least get their contact numbers back.
Phone numbers, photos, and other personal data started disappearing from Sidekick phones a week and half ago, as servers run by Microsoft broke down.
Microsoft says that customers who lost data can now use a recovery tool on T-Mobile’s Web site. The tool will only restore contacts, but Microsoft is working on also retrieving photos, notes, to-do lists, high scores and other data.
