Governor Perdue is headed west to survey damage on I-40 from the rockslide.

Perdue, DOT Secretary Gene Conti and others will tour the site this afternoon.

Then Perdue will discuss the latest updates on rock removal and rebuilding plans.

The rockslide early Sunday morning completely closed down I-40 near the Tennessee- North Carolina state line.

So far, the DOT says it will take three months and cost 10 million dollars to repair.
