FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - The Fayetteville Area visitors bureau
and a local volunteer group is teaming up with Hasbro to provide GI
Joe action figures to children of fallen soldiers.
The Army’s Army, a Fayetteville volunteer organization dedicated
to supporting military families, will hand out the action figures
during Fort Bragg’s Independence Day celebration at Fort Bragg’s
Main Post Parade Field.
The organization says the gifts are a small gesture of support
and appreciation to the children of fallen heroes from our
community.
Fort Bragg’s Fourth of July festivities expect to attract more
than 50,000 people.
