Rachel Gallaher - Weekend Edition Producer

Rachel Gallaher joined WNCT in May of 2008 as the Weekend Edition Producer.

She first got interested in news when she interned during her senior year of high school at the Houston Home Journal, a local paper that ran in her hometown of Warner Robins, Georgia.

After high school, she made her way to eastern North Carolina as a student at ECU. This made her parents very proud, as they themselves are both former pirates.

She gained experience producing the EC Source, ECU's student-run news program, in the fall of 2007. She was then Executive Producer for the Greenville Spotlight (also ECU's student news show) in the spring of 2008.

In December she will graduate from ECU with a degree in Mass Media Studies.

When she's not in the newsroom or the classroom, she likes to spend time with her friends, shop or go to the movies.
