Just Delete It!

It's the week of sweetheart candies, roses, and declarations of love, but in this week's Just Delete It, we feature an e-mail that may leave you with more than just a broken heart.

Nine is On Your Side with what you need to lookout for.

The Nurech A worm lurks in Valentine's Day e-mails with the subject line "Together You and I" and "Til The End of Time, Heart of Mine". Usually, a downloadable file such as flashpostcard.exe or greetingpostcard.exe accompany this dangerous e-mail.

Similarly, the Nuwar D worm awaits it's victims in e-mails with the subject lines "5 Reasons I Love You" or "A Kiss For You".

Just delete it!

The subject line may read "I sent you an e-card from American Greetings. Happy Valentine's Day!" but what you get isn't always what you see. Malicious software can take control of your computer and use it for sending spam and infecting other computers.

If you receive one or any of these emails, you should delete it despite it’s promises of roses and kisses. Instead, let your virus protection software decide whether it's safe to open.
