Just Delete It!

In this week’s Just Delete It, we look at a new e-mail that includes a photograph of a large mountain lion killed by a deer hunter in Kansas, Iowa, or Wisconsin.

In multiple variations of the same e-mail, the mountain lion was killed as far northwest as Montana, as far south as Alabama, and as far east as Pennsylvania and numerous states in between.

Just Delete It.

The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks says the photo first appeared in Fair Chase magazine and shows a mountain lion taken near Seattle.  Since then, KDWP has received multiple e-mails claiming that it was taken all over the country.

KDWP Information and Education Section Chief Bob Mathews says, “Folks should check dubious e-mail stories before passing them around.”
