Just Delete It June 24, 2009

Legalizing marijuana has been a hot topic lately, not only in North Carolina, but across the country.  However, if you get an email asking you to call a number to vote for legalizing pot, just delete it.
Now this one is a bit tricky because the email isn’t exactly a hoax or a scam, there is some legitimacy to it.
It claims if you dial a number and vote to legalize marijuana, President Obama will pass the law if they get one-million votes.  That’s false.
The phone number is what’s known as a humor line, but if you call it you will get a recording that presents both sides of the debate.  It then tells you to vote and after a million votes, a proposal will be presented to President Obama.
Just delete it.
