Lady Pirates Move to 3-0
After getting off to a slow start offensively in the first half, the East Carolina women’s basketball team used its fast break and shot 66 percent from the field in the second period to race past UNC Wilmington, 72-52, Thursday evening at Minges Coliseum.

Dominique Lindsay ran for a career-high 172 yards, Darryl Freeney had a career-best 152 yards receiving and East Carolina maintained its lead in Conference USA’s East Division with a 44-17 victory over Tulsa on Sunday night.

Al-Farouq Aminu scored 23 points, fellow sophomore Tony Woods matched a career high with 12 and Wake Forest defeated East Carolina 89-58 on Sunday.
Lady Pirates Beat Western Carolina, Move to 2-0
The East Carolina basketball team forced 20 Western Carolina turnovers and recorded 16 steals on its way to a 70-59 non-conference victory Sunday at Minges Coliseum. The Lady Pirates improve to 2-0 while the Catamounts fall to 0-2.
