(AP) - Leemire Goldwire scored 21 points and had ten rebounds to lead Charlotte to an 82-72 victory over Number 18 Clemson last night.

Its the 49ers first win over a ranked team since February 2005.

Charlotte lost a 12-point lead in the second half, but then outscored the Tigers 13-3 the final 4:23.

It was a stunning upset for Clemson, who took top-ranked North Carolina to overtime Sunday before losing 90-88 on a last-second three-pointer.

Trevor Booker led the Tigers with a career-high 32 points and ten rebounds, while Demontez Stitt added 13 points.

Charlie Coley added 14 points for Charlotte.
