CLEVELAND (AP) - Mike Brown is the NBA’s coach of the year after leading his Cleveland Cavaliers to a team-record 66 wins and the top overall seed in the playoffs.
Brown picked up 55 of 122 first-place votes to finish well ahead of Houston’s Rick Adelman in the balloting. Brown is the second Cavaliers coach to take the honor and the first since Bill Fitch in 1976.
