Viewer's Voice: Sharing Your Thoughts

I know you have helped a lot of people get answers and I need your help now.  My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary in June and our children gave us a cruise.  So my husband and I I applied for passports in July - he received his but my birth certificate was refused - not a state-issued one.  So I applied to Vital Statistics in NJ for a copy - found I wasn’t registered.  So I sent all required proofs and received a Certificate of Delayed Record of Birth which I have to get signed by a NC judge.  Only problem, no judge will see me unless I submit through an attorney.  I don’t have time for this.  Our cruise is in less than a month.  Is there anything you can do to get a judge near Emerald Isle to see me without all this red tape?  What was a dream gift has turned into a nighmare.  Thank you for any help you can give me.
