MIAMI (AP) - Forecasters say Tropical Storm Felicia has formed in the Pacific while Tropical Storm Enrique is strengthening not far from it.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami says Felicia’s maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph while Enrique, which is farther east, has winds near 60 mph.
Enrique is centered about 735 miles southwest of the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. Felicia is about 1,200 miles west-southwest of the peninsula’s.
Enrique is forecast to get stronger in the next 24 hours, and Felicia could become a hurricane in the next day or two. Right now neither is threatening land.
