If you've been shopping in Pitt County in the last week, and your wallet felt a little lighter, it's because of the county's quarter cent sales tax increase for public schools.
Some of the money will go to Pitt Community College. The question is, how much?
PCC asked the county commission for an estimated 24-million dollars to build classrooms and labs to benefit the construction, automotive, and health sciences programs.
They’re also hoping to add a new general classroom building.
