The murder trial into the death of a seven year old girls continues today.
A jury is deciding whether her caretaker, Carolyn Futrell, forced her to drink poison or if she drank it on her own.
The toxicologist who handled her case, Dr. Michael Beuhler, took the stand this morning.
He says after examining Kayla Allen, there is no way she could have drank the poison on her own.
He says she would have been able to tell the difference between water and pesticide-- and after just one or two swallows she would have called out for help.
Based on her stomach contents, Beuhler says she swallowed the pesticide concentrate eight times.
Carolyn Futrell is expected to defend herself before the trial is over.
