Literacy Volunteers learner orientation

Pitt County will offer a four-session introductory course for adults interested in improving their reading or writing skills. The free classes, called First Step, will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 6, 8, 13, and 15. Learners may attend either in the mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., or in the evenings from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. They must attend all four class days. Participants will learn about the LV-PC program and experience typical lessons. Pre-registration is required.

The workshop will be held at the LV-PC office located at 105-A E. Arlington Blvd. between Twice Is Nice Consignment Shop and the former McFadyen Music.
