The prosecution rests in the trial of Carolyn Futrell.
The Richlands woman is accused of killing 7 year old Kayla Allen who was in Futrell's care in 2003.
The defense asked the judge to dismiss the case stating that the prosecution did not present enough evidence that Carolyn Futrell is guilty of homicide.
The judge denied that motion and currently the defense is presenting witnesses to the jury.
