April 11, 2008-The Pitt County Schools Technology Department will hold the fifth annual Math Masters Challenge April 16 and 17 in Harvey Hall at the Murphy Center at East Carolina University.
An individual and group competition will be held testing the mathematical skills of the students based on the material from the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. The competition will consist of students from grades 3-5.
The agenda is as follows:
8:30 - 9:00 - School registration
9:00 - 9:10 - Opening remarks
9:20 - 10:00 - Individual Testing
10:20 - 11:00 - Group Testing
11:10 - 11:40 - Lunch
11:45 - 1:10 - Math Masters Individual Competition
1:10 - 1:20 - Trophy Presentation
The program is sponsored by Wal-Mart, E-instruction and Study Island.
