Celebrating Recovery: Real People, Real Recovery Luncheon

The Coastal Coalition for Substance Abuse Prevention (CCSAP) and Healthy Carolinians of Carteret County (HCCC) – Substance Abuse Task Force, would like to invite the public to Celebrating Recovery: Real People, Real Recovery Luncheon on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Sanitary Restaurant in Morehead City.

The Coastal Coalition for Substance Abuse Prevention (CCSAP) and Healthy Carolinians of Carteret County (HCCC) – Substance Abuse Task Force, would like to invite the public to Celebrating Recovery: Real People, Real Recovery Luncheon on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Sanitary Restaurant in Morehead City.

Dr. Pam Silberman, NC Institute of Medicine, will be the guest speaker and will deliver a presentation of the Institute's report on Substance Abuse Recommendations that will be delivered to the NC General Assembly in January 2009. A few minutes will be given to legislators in attendance to respond to Dr. Silberman's presentation. There will also be a youth and adult sharing their recovery story, which is part of a national focus of Real People, Real Recovery.

The luncheon is FREE but you must RSVP to reserve your spot. Please call Anne Hardison, CCSAP Coordinator, at 252.808.5878 or email her at Anne@ccsap.org if you would like to attend.
