Free cancer workshop held near Outer Banks Hospital

Dr. Hendrik van Deventer, University of North Carolina cancer specialist, will present a free community workshop on Friday, December 19 from noon to 1 p.m. on the topic of lymphoma, leukemia and myeloma. A complimentary light lunch will be served. Seating is limited and registration is requested. There will be a free community workshop called, “Lunch and Learn” with visiting specialist Dr. Hendrik van Deventer this Friday, Dec. 19th.

Dr. van Deventer is a cancer specialist from the University of North Carolina and will be conducting the workshop from noon to 1:00 p.m. located on the second floor of the Medical Building behind Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head.

The workshop will focus on lymphoma, leukemia, and myeloma.

Every other Friday, the workshop will have an new visiting specialist who participants can schedule a consultation with before or after the workshop.

A complimentary light lunch will be served. Seating is limited and registration is requested. Anyone wishing to attend a workshop should contact Dare County Public Relations Coordinator Dorothy Toolan at 252-475-5903 or dorothy@darenc.com.
