WASHINGTON (AP) - Joe Biden says the economy is going to be the incoming administration's top priority.
In an interview for ABC's "This Week," which airs tomorrow, the vice president-elect says there's a bipartisan consensus that it's going to take a massive amount of government spending to stop the loss of jobs. He puts the number at $600 to $700 billion.
Biden says lawmakers from both parties are recommending big and bold action despite the huge deficits being rolled up.
On a more personal note, Biden says his wife, Jill, will continue to teach English at a college in Delaware after the move into the vice president's home in Washington.
