Wednesday some men and women in uniform teamed up to make sure those in need still have a Christmas this year.
It's called Pitt County Operation Santa Claus.
Law enforcement agencies and businesses from all over Pitt County came together to deliver Christmas presents to a family in need, with the help of Santa, of course.
The Department of Social Services and the Salvation Army picks one family each year, for the delivery. Donation centers are set up all over the county for residents to turn in toys.
"Pitt County Operation Santa Clause is so important because everything we collect here in Pitt County stay here with our kids," said Donnie Hardee with the Greenville Fire Department.
The Greenville Fire Department, Greenville Police, Pitt County Sheriff's Office, Highway Patrol and Greenville Utilities are just some of the organizations and businesses involved in the Christmas Eve delivery.
