Fog advisories across NC

»  Comments | Post a Comment

(AP) - The National Weather Service is warning drivers to take caution as dense fog covers much of the state.

Forecasters issued fog advisories Tuesday morning for 88 of the state's 100 counties. The weather service said the combination of high humidity and light surface winds will keep widespread fog until about 10 a.m.

Dense fog means visibility will drop to less than one quarter of a mile. Officials said drivers should reduce their speed, leave space between vehicles and use low-beam headlights.
