A toddler is safe tonight and her father is behind bars after police say he kidnapped her this afternoon. It's a story that we first told you about on Eyewitness News Nine at 6 p.m. Winterville police arrested 22-year-old Brian Conner at his mother's house in Ayden tonight. Police say Conner forcibly took his 18-month-old daughter Raven from a babysitter earlier today. He faces charges for kidnapping, child abuse, breaking and entering and assault of a government official. Police say he threw an arresting officer, when she tried to take him into custody.
