(AP) - Wilmington police say a man broke into a pool hall and spent a few hours shooting pool and drinking alcohol before the owner of the business arrived to open it.

Twenty-year-old Jeremy Matthew Turner has been charged with two counts of breaking and entering and larceny for the alcohol authorities say he drank.

Orton Pool Room owner Eric Rylander said he arrived at the business about 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning to find TV sets on, whiskey on the bar and Turner headed quickly for the door.

Rylander said Turner was cooperative so he was able to hold him until police arrived.

Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Lucy Crockett said Turner claimed he had come to the pool hall to look for keys he left there the night before.
